[Chateau Ormes de Pez 2013]
Chateau Ormes de Pez was owned by the Alibert family in the 19th century, and they also owned a fifth-growth estate located in Haut Medoc—Chateau Belgrave.Chateau Ormes de Pez was classified as a Cru Bourgeois in 1932, and in 2003, it was further selected as a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, placing it among the top 9 highest-ranked Crus Bourgeois. However, it later withdrew due to changes in the Cru Bourgeois classification system.
"The 2013 Les Ormes de Pez has a respectable bouquet, with aromas of raspberries and wild strawberries, a faint hint of cedar spreading out, creating a character almost reminiscent of Pauillac." The entry is a bit delicate, but the mid-palate has considerable weight, with more red fruit than black fruit, gently building a single note of pepper that quickly fades.

46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot
