Since the early 18th century, Chateau Pichon Longueville has been deeply influenced by women.Until the eve of the French Revolution, the management and major policies of the estate were decided by the baronesses, including Therese de Rauzan, Germaine de Lajus, and Marie Branda de Terrefort. Baron Joseph de Pichon Longueville took over as the owner of Château Pichon Longueville at the age of 19, succeeding his mother Marie de Terrefort.
