Chateau Pedesclaux is one of the wineries in the Pauillac village of the Bordeaux region, classified as a Fifth Growth in the 1855 Médoc Classification. In 1810, the Bordeaux wine merchant Urbain Pierre Pedesclaux acquired the vineyard from Grand Puy and established his own estate. In 1855, Chateau Pedesclaux was rated as a fifth growth estate.Afterwards, the estate went through several changes of ownership, and using modern management concepts, the castle was renovated, five uniquely themed suites were established, and a tasting room and other facilities were designed for visitors to stay.
