[Chateau Pavie 2007]
Robert Parker rating: 94/100 When it comes to famous Bordeaux wines, people often say, "On the left bank, there's Lafite; on the right bank, there's Pavie."Chateau Pavie is located in the Saint Emilion region on the right bank of Bordeaux, France, and has a very long history.Chateau Pavie is located in the southeastern part of Saint Emilion on the right bank of Bordeaux. The soil here consists of the most common limestone and brown clay found on the right bank of Bordeaux. The average age of the vines is 40 years, and the grapes are all hand-picked and then fermented in large stainless steel tanks. Generally speaking, traditional French wines are known for their smooth, balanced, and elegant taste; New World wines, on the other hand, are full of personality, power, and wildness. However, Chateau Pavie is an exception.Although Chateau Pavie originates from France, it inherently possesses the elegance and balance of French red wine, while simultaneously being full of the power and personality of New World red wine. "Dark purple with aromas of blackcurrant, cherry liqueur, graphite, and toast." The 2007 Pomerol is a great wine from that year, with a very full body, extraordinary intensity, power, and richness. Grape Varieties:
70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, y 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
