Chateau Calon Segur is located in Saint-Estephe, Medoc, Bordeaux, France. It is classified as a Third Growth in the 1855 classification and is adjacent to Chateau Montrose. This second label is managed and produced in the same way as the grand vin, using younger grape bunches and aged in 30% new French oak barrels for about 17 months.

"Le Marquis de Calon Segur 2018 is expected to age in oak barrels for 17 months, with 30% being new oak barrels." Deep purple-black, exuding rich aromas of Indian spices, menthol, and plum preserves, with a core of blackcurrant, roasted cherries, and raspberry pie, along with a hint of sandalwood. Large and rich, with a full-bodied wine, the palate is lush, featuring black fruit preserves and an exotic spice pouch, a firm, long, velvety frame, with a lingering finish that has a hint of mint. Absolutely suitable for hedonists!
