[Chateau Montlandrie 2015]
Robert Parker rating: 93/100
Chateau Montlandrie is located in the Cotes de Castillon region on the right bank of Bordeaux, France, and is owned by Denis Durantou, who is also the owner of Chateau L'Eglise Clinet. The history of Chateau Montlandrie dates back to the late 18th century, established by an Italian family. The vineyard of Chateau Montlandrie is located on a steep hillside, covering an area of 12 hectares, with soil primarily composed of clay and limestone, which facilitates drainage and ventilation. The vineyard faces south, benefiting from excellent sunlight conditions, which provide favorable conditions for grape growth. Its terroir can also rival that of the finest areas in Pomerol.
Compared to La Chenade and Les Cruzelles 2015, Chateau Montlandrie 2015 may be more mature in terms of aroma. When opened, it gradually reveals enchanting floral scents and the fragrance of dried rose petals; the body is medium, with delicate tannins, a very tight mouthfeel, well-balanced acidity, and a very harmonious and sensual finish. You could almost take it out of the barrel and drink it immediately, but it's best to leave it in the bottle for 4-5 years.
Grape varieties:
75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon
Under the law of Hong Kong, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business.
