[Chateau Laroze 2016]
Château Laroze is a Grand Cru estate in the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation, with a total vineyard area of 27 hectares. The vines are planted in soil composed of silica, with a layer of clay on top. The wine is aged in oak barrels (65% in new oak barrels), with an average aging period of 16 months. The 2016 vintage wine is a blend of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The palate has a medium body, a sweet entry, but the finish is a bit monotonous. The wine is rich and delicious, exuding elegance and flavor.
