[Les Pensees de la Tour Carnet 2015 8支套裝]
James Suckling's rating: 93/100
Chateau La Tour Carnet was ranked as a Fourth Growth in the 1855 Médoc classification. After being acquired by Bernard Magrez in 2000, its quality significantly improved, with Robert Parker calling it the best value among all classified estates.Using drones (one of the latest technologies acquired by Bernard Magrez) to analyze vineyard plots from the air has deepened the understanding of each plot. For example, the terroir of Lagrange is more suitable for Merlot, while the slopes are better for Cabernet.Chateau La Tour Carnet has an expansive vineyard of 190 hectares, but only 2.46 hectares are used to produce La Tour Carnet Blanc, resulting in very limited production.
"2015 Les Pensees de la Tour Carnet exudes aromas of blackcurrant, red cherry, and bay leaf, with hints of spice box and tar."Medium-bodied palate, chewy tannins, with a finish that has earthy notes.
Grape varieties:
59% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot, and 1% Cabernet Franc
