[Chateau Langoa Barton 2012]
Robert Parker rating: 90/100 (2015)
Chateau Langoa Barton is located in Saint Julien, Bordeaux, and was classified as a third growth in 1855. Like the second growth Chateau Leoville Barton, it was also founded by the Barton family from Ireland. Chateau Langoa Barton and Chateau Leoville Barton share the same cellar, and although they use the same winemaking equipment, Chateau Langoa Barton has its own independent winemaking team.Compared to Chateau Leoville Barton, the biggest characteristic of Chateau Langoa Barton red wine is that the performance of Cabernet Sauvignon is not overly strong, allowing it to blend well with Merlot. The body is medium, with tight tannins, presenting flavors of red fruits in the mouth, accompanied by notes of tobacco and cedar.
"Chateau Langoa Barton 2012 is a full-bodied, rich, mature, and well-crafted red wine that contains a lot of juicy blackcurrant fruit and just the right amount of oak flavor."It exhibits progressive fullness, excellent purity, texture, and length. Can be enjoyed over the next 15-20 years."
Grape varieties:
70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc
