[Chateau La Tour Carnet 2017]
Chateau La Tour Carnet was ranked as a fourth-growth estate in the 1855 Médoc classification. After the estate was acquired by Bernard Magrez in 2000, its quality significantly improved, with Robert Parker calling it the most cost-effective among all classified estates.Using drones (one of the latest technologies acquired by Bernard Magrez) to analyze vineyard plots from the air has deepened the understanding of each plot. For example, the terroir of Labyrinthe is more suitable for Merlot, while the slopes are better for Cabernet.Chateau La Tour Carnet has an enormous 190-hectare vineyard, of which only 2.46 hectares are used to produce La Tour Carnet Blanc, resulting in very limited production.
"Chateau La Tour Carnet Blanc 2017 is deep garnet in color, with aromas of blackcurrant, pear, and cherry, and subtle nuances of earth, tar, and graphite flakes; it has a medium body, slightly thin on the palate but chewy and robust, showcasing interesting layers of fruit and delightful harmony."
Grape varieties:
60% Merlot, complemented by 37% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc
Under the law of Hong Kong, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business.
