[Chateau La Tour Carnet 2015]
James Suckling rating: 93/100
Robert Parker rating: 90/100
Chateau La Tour Carnet was ranked as a fourth-growth estate in the 1855 Médoc classification. After being acquired by Bernard Magrez in 2000, its quality saw significant improvement, with Robert Parker calling it the most cost-effective estate among all classified growths.Using drones (one of the latest technologies acquired by Bernard Magrez) to analyze vineyard plots from the air has deepened the understanding of each plot. For example, the terroir of Labyrinthe is more suitable for Merlot, while the slopes are better for Cabernet.Chateau La Tour Carnet has an enormous vineyard of 190 hectares, but only 2.46 hectares are used to produce La Tour Carnet Blanc, resulting in very limited production.
"Chateau La Tour Carnet 2015 has a medium garnet-purple color, with earthy notes, red and black fruits, and floral aromas." The body is medium, vibrant, centered on pure red and black fruits, with approachable tannins and a fresh finish.
Grape varieties:
56% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc
Under the law of Hong Kong, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business.
