Château L'Évangile is a highly regarded estate in Pomerol owned by Domaines Barons de Rothschild. The 2012 vintage, which favored a softer, more approachable profile for Merlot, produced a wonderfully charming expression of the estate. Now beautifully mature, it reveals an engaging bouquet of ripe dark plums, violets, black truffles, and elegant chocolate notes. Medium to full-bodied and exceptionally smooth on the palate, the tannins have resolved into a velvety texture, supporting a core of sweet, accessible dark fruit and vibrant acidity.
