"Chateau Leoville Poyferre 2017 presents a medium to deep garnet-purple color, needing a bit of time to reveal its alluring scents of violet, Black Forest cake, and blueberry preserves, with hints of raspberry leaf, rose, cigar box, and fragrant earth; the medium-bodied palate is quiet, with rich, layered, and well-defined flavors, soft and delicate tannins, and a long, fresh finish."
