The French superlative second-growth estate Chateau Lascombes was founded in the 17th century and is located in the Margaux region of Bordeaux, France, just a few hundred meters away from the famous Chateau Margaux. Along with the renowned Bordeaux estate Chateau Mouton Rothschild, it is classified as a second-growth estate, with very high wine quality.
"Deep garnet red, initially slightly weak upon opening, it offers flavors of tar and roasted earth on a core of fresh roasted blackcurrants, preserves, and cooked meats, complemented by subtle hints of bay leaf and new bramble; the fruit is full and rich, filled with the essence of ripe black fruits and earthy notes, with solid, grainy tannins and a long finish."
