Chateau Lascombes was founded in the 17th century and is located in the Margaux region of Bordeaux, France, just a few hundred meters away from the famous Chateau Margaux. Along with the prestigious Chateau Mouton Rothschild, it is classified as a second growth estate, producing wines of very high quality.In 2001, during a crucial period of rapid development for Chateau Lascombes, they invited the former chief winemaker of the first growth Chateau Lafite Rothschild, Dominique Befve, to serve as the chief winemaker and general manager of Chateau Lascombes. He introduced new winemaking techniques that not only improved the quality of the wine but also led to several vintages receiving high scores of over 90 points from wine critics and rating agencies such as Robert Parker and Wine Spectator.

"The 2016 Lascombes is a deep garnet purple, with beautiful notes of candied violet, Black Forest cake, blackcurrant, and menthol, along with subtle hints of brush, clove, pencil lead, and tar."The body is medium, the intensity is high, the tannins are firm, the tannins, and the finish is long.
