[Chateau Larrivet Haut Brion Rouge 2014]
James Suckling rating: 92/100
Château Larrivet Haut-Brion is an estate in Pessac-Leognan, covering 72 hectares, acquired by the Gervoson family in 1987, dedicated to producing red and white wines. 40%.Unlike most estates, here, all plots are treated the same way:Red wine is aged in French oak barrels (50% new oak barrels) for 16-18 months, while white wine (60% Semillon, 40% Sauvignon Blanc) is aged in 100% new oak barrels for 12 months.
The 2014 Larrivet Haut Brion has a very tight nose, with hot, humid moss and forest floor aromas mingling with reluctant black fruit, clearly needing more time to develop. The palate has a medium body with a slight lactic taste.
Under the law of Hong Kong, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business.
