Château Capbern (formerly Capbern Gasqueton) is an outstanding estate in Saint-Estèphe, managed by the winemaking team of the 3rd Growth Château Calon Ségur. The 2013 vintage is a highly approachable and forward-drinking wine. Reflecting a cooler growing season, it eschews heavy structure in favor of immediate pleasure, lightness, and aromatic charm. It bursts with inviting scents of fresh raspberries, red cherries, delicate floral notes, and subtle cedar. Light to medium-bodied, it is exceptionally soft and supple on the palate, with completely resolved tannins and mouthwatering acidity. Excellent value.
