[Baron de Brane 2017]
Baron de Brane is the second wine of the second growth Château Brane-Cantenac, named after Baron de Brane, who was known as the "Napoleon of Wine" in the 19th century. The current owner and winemaker of the estate, Henri Lurton, continuously improves the vineyard and winery, tirelessly enhancing the estate's output. This estate, located in the Margaux region, is renowned for its consistent quality, and even in excellent vintages, it can still showcase its unique terroir characteristics and winemaking techniques!
"Baron de Brane 2017 wine is deep purple in color, with a rich floral aroma, red and black fruit scents, and it also carries notes of dark chocolate and leather!"Based on actual tasting notes, the wine has aromas of black fruits (blackberries and blackcurrants) and floral notes, along with hints of vanilla and spices. The flavors of dark chocolate and leather are believed to be due to the wine being aged for 12 months in 30% new French oak barrels, which impart distinct aromas and layers! The wine has a medium body with delicate tannins ~ although it is not very complex, it has a satisfying depth and an impressive meaty finish! This is an elegant, balanced, and flavorful wine!
Grape varieties:
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc
