"Chateau Talbot 2018 presents a deep garnet-purple color, initially somewhat subdued, but opens up to reveal warm notes of red and black currants, roasted pear, and blackberry, along with hints of sautéed herbs, wet earth, fallen leaves, and the scent of an unfinished cigar; the wine has a medium to full body, with mature, fine tannins and a restrained earthiness that unfolds in layers on the palate, leaving a herbal finish."

Chateau Talbot's white wine is on par with its red wine, and can even overshadow it; they are the "red and white champions" of Saint Julien.But due to regulatory issues, its wine can only be labeled under the "Bordeaux" region.Chateau Talbot has always maintained a very high quality, and public evaluations often exceed the standards of a fourth growth as rated in 1855.
