Silver Heights Vineyard was founded by Gao Lin and his daughter Gao Yuan in 2007, and is currently managed by Gao Yuan.Currently, Gao Yuan serves as both the owner and winemaker of the winery. She studied winemaking in Bordeaux, France, obtained the French National Oenologist Diploma, and interned for a period at the renowned 1855 Third Growth estate, Chateau Calon Segur.

The vineyard of the winery is located on the eastern foothills of the Helan Mountains, at an altitude of 1,200 meters, in the grape-growing golden zone at 38°N latitude.The climate in this region is exceptionally dry, with ample sunlight and rare rainfall. The temperature difference between day and night can reach up to 15 ºC, which is conducive to the accumulation of sugars and phenolic compounds in the grape berries, allowing the grapes to maintain a high level of acidity even when fully ripe.The main soil types in the vineyard are clay loam, sandy gravel soil, and pebbles, with low organic matter content, making it relatively barren.Due to the cold winter, to prevent the grapevines from dying, the winery will use the method of burying the vines. They will be pressed down to the ground and buried 30 centimeters underground to prevent the vines and root system from freezing.When spring arrives, the soil is dug up to allow the grapevines to return to their original state.The winery adheres to the concept of organic farming, strictly controlling the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides during the grape cultivation process, and implementing meticulous manual management for each grapevine.The main grape varieties planted in the vineyard are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Riesling.

Winemaking process:

• 100% hand-picked and selected grapes.

• Cold soaking, temperature-controlled fermentation, gentle and slow pressing.

• Aged for 12 months in 70% French oak barrels and 30% stainless steel barrels.

Tasting notes:

This wine exudes the aromas of fresh, ripe dark fruits (cherries, blackberries), and also releases a blend of other fragrant notes such as hawthorn, mint, and cigar.It has a long, smooth finish.

70% Chardonnay, 25% Italian Riesling, 5% Viognier

Winemaking process:

100% hand-picked and selected grapes.

Slow and gentle pressing, temperature-controlled fermentation, meticulous anti-oxidation protection.

No malolactic fermentation, to maintain brightness and freshness.

Tasting notes:

The aroma is very enticing.Fresh lemon with hints of guava and mango flavors.Medium acidity, with delicious pineapple, grapefruit, and ginger flavors lingering on the palate.This is a pure, fresh wine with not much oak flavor.
