Silver Heights Vineyard was founded by Gao Lin and his daughter Gao Yuan in 2007, and is currently managed by Gao Yuan.Currently, Gao Yuan serves as both the owner and winemaker of the winery. She studied winemaking in Bordeaux, France, where she obtained the French National Winemaker Diploma. She also interned for a period at the renowned 1855 Third Growth estate, Chateau Calon Segur.

The vineyard of the winery is located on the eastern foothills of the Helan Mountains, at an altitude of 1,200 meters, within the grape-growing golden zone at 38°N latitude.The climate in this region is exceptionally dry, with ample sunlight and rare rainfall. The temperature difference between day and night can reach up to 15 ºC, which is conducive to the accumulation of sugars and phenolic compounds in the grape berries, allowing the grapes to maintain a high level of acidity even when fully ripe.The main soil types in the vineyard are clay loam, sandy gravel soil, and pebbles, with low organic matter content, making it relatively barren.Due to the cold winter, in order to prevent the grapevines from dying, the winery will use the earthing method, laying the grapevines flat on the ground and burying them 30 centimeters underground to prevent the grapevines and root system from freezing.When spring arrives, the soil mounds are removed, allowing the vines to return to their original state.The winery adheres to the concept of organic farming, strictly controlling the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides during the grape cultivation process, and implementing meticulous manual management for each grapevine.The main grape varieties planted in the vineyard are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Riesling.

Winemaking process:

Using wild yeast and employing a lighter extraction, it reveals a complex yet approachable character.Traditional structure, unfiltered, aged for 12 months in 100% new French oak barrels.

Masalan's home is wild and bold, exuding the enticing aromas of juicy black cherries, wild berries, plum preserves, and blueberry pie, complemented by the scents of smoky sandalwood and rose essential oil.

The taste is rich, juicy, and sensual, continuously releasing floral, fruity, woody, and spicy flavors every second.The gentle acidity and silky tannins provide a subtle foundation for the finish, achieving a delicate and lasting balance that leaves you wanting more.
