[The Singleton of Glen Ord 18 Year Old]
In the natural sweetness of the peated malt, there are hints of citrus aroma. A faint peat smoke scent lingers, layers of honey aroma emerge, and the finish is a lingering scent, with a touch of smoke intertwined with dark chocolate, cookies, and cinnamon aromas. Beyond perfectly releasing the balance, its flavor becomes more mature, the color deeper, and the layers richer, fully showcasing the distinct distillery style.
Tasting Notes: Appearance: Warm golden yellow, with a sheen reminiscent of caramelized toffee. Aroma: Rich and intense, with a strong almond oil scent. Followed by notes of overripe orange and dried figs. When diluted with water, it has a waxy aroma, predominantly fruity, with a hint of pea pod-like vegetal notes. Body: Oily, especially noticeable when diluted with water. Mouthfeel: Opens with slightly sweet cocoa, quite charming. Reminiscent of cookies coated in dark chocolate. A walnut candy-like texture, with a hint of ginger spiciness, finishing with coffee milk. Finish: Long and perfect, warm and soothing. With a touch of cinnamon and rose flavors. Leaves a sweet almond candy-like aroma on the palate.
