[Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc 2016]
Robert Parker rating: 96/100
Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte was restructured by French supermarket magnate Daniel Cathiard after he purchased the estate in 1990, bringing it back to the top tier of Pessac Leognan.Due to the unique terroir conditions of this area, it is suitable for growing both red and white grapes, making it one of the few Bordeaux regions where both red and white wines are excellent.Robert Parker once awarded both the red and white wines 100 points in 2009 and 2010, making it a force to be reckoned with!
"Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc 2016 exhibits a blend of pineapple and guava flavors, exuding an enticing aroma of fresh grapefruit and green apple, with subtle hints of orange blossom, crushed stone, and honey-drizzled peach; it has a medium to full body with a luxurious satin texture, rich palate filled with tropical and citrus flavors, a long and delicious finish."
Grape varieties:
90% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Sauvignon Gris, 5% Semillon
