The Antinori family is renowned in the Tuscany region of Italy, with a history of winemaking that spans 629 years. Each generation has personally participated in the winemaking business.Solaia is a vineyard located in the Tignanello region of Italy, at an altitude of 1150 to 1325 feet, covering an area of 20 hectares, with rocky soil composed of hard limestone and clay.The Antinori family first produced Solaia in 1978, and it is only made in special years, such as not being vinified in 1980, 1981, 1983, 1984, and 1992.
Solaia 2017 has a unique floral character, with scents of wild roses and lilacs, which will surprise you, especially if you were expecting a stronger, richer dark fruit flavor associated with that vintage.
