The Antinori family has a prestigious reputation in the Tuscany region of Italy. The Antinori family has been involved in winemaking for 629 years, with each generation personally participating in the winemaking business.Solaia is a vineyard located in the Tignanello region of Italy, at an altitude of 1150 to 1325 feet, covering an area of 20 hectares, with rocky soil composed of hard limestone and clay.The Antinori family first produced Solaia in 1978 and only in special years, such as not vinifying in 1980, 1981, 1983, 1984, and 1992.
