[Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte Rouge 2014]
James Suckling rating: 96/100
Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte was revamped by French supermarket magnate Daniel Cathiard after he purchased the estate in 1990, bringing it back to the top tier of Pessac Leognan.Due to the unique terroir conditions of this region, it is suitable for growing both red and white grapes, making it one of the few areas in Bordeaux where both red and white wines are excellent.Robert Parker once awarded both the red and white wines 100 points in 2009 and 2010, making it a standout!
"Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte Rouge 2014 has intense aromas of black cherry and bitter chocolate, delivering a rich, concentrated palate where the fruit easily takes the lead over the firm, dry tannins." It is precisely these that lead everything to a confident, slightly rustic finish.
Grape varieties:
62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot
Under the law of Hong Kong, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business.
