Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte was reorganized by French supermarket magnate Daniel Cathiard after he purchased the estate in 1990, bringing it back to the top tier of Pessac Leognan.Due to the unique terroir conditions of this area being suitable for growing both red and white grapes, it has become one of the few regions in Bordeaux where both red and white wines are excellent.Robert Parker even awarded the red and white wines a perfect score of 100 points in 2009 and 2010, making it a force to be reckoned with!
"This wine has a laser-like feel, with its extraordinary nose defining a subtle interplay of charcoal and spring flowers, blackcurrant cream, blueberry liqueur, and spicy wood."The body is full, with astonishing concentration, long, rich, with moderate tannins. This wine has a lifespan of 30-40 years and can be consumed in 5-7 years.
