Chateau Rieussec is located in the Sauternes region of Bordeaux and is renowned worldwide for producing sweet, luscious white wines. The vineyards of Chateau Rieussec are situated on the hills of the villages of Sauternes and Fargues, adjacent to Chateau d'Yquem.As one of the largest estates in Sauternes, Chateau Rieussec has a vineyard area of as much as 93 hectares.Chateau Rieussec was classified as a first growth in the 1855 Sauternes and Barsac classification and became part of Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite in 1984, marking a significant period of development.In order to fully tap into the terroir potential of Chateau Rieussec, Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite constructed new cellars and winemaking facilities, adding modern equipment to the grape sorting and pressing rooms, among other enhancements, to better showcase the potential of Chateau Rieussec.

"R Rieussec 2017 has ripe peaches, pink grapefruit, and lemon curd, with flavors of elderflower, honeysuckle, and straw; its mouthfeel is medium, filled with fleshy stone fruit and citrus layers, supported by wickedly fresh acidity, with a long, mineral-rich finish."
