Chateau Rieussec is located in the Sauternes region of Bordeaux and is renowned worldwide for producing sweet, luscious white wines. The vineyards of Chateau Rieussec are situated on the hills of the villages of Sauternes and Fargues, adjacent to Chateau d'Yquem.As one of the largest estates in the Sauternes region, Chateau Rieussec has a vineyard area of as much as 93 hectares. Chateau Rieussec was classified as a first growth in the 1855 Sauternes and Barsac classification and became part of Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite in 1984.In order to fully tap into the terroir potential of Chateau Rieussec, Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite built a new wine cellar and vinification workshop, adding modern equipment to the grape sorting room and pressing room, thereby fully showcasing the potential of Chateau Rieussec.
