Chateau Rieussec is located in the Sauternes region of Bordeaux and is renowned worldwide for producing sweet white wines. The vineyards of Chateau Rieussec are situated on the hills of the villages of Sauternes and Fargues, adjacent to Chateau d'Yquem.As one of the largest estates in the Sauternes region, Chateau Rieussec has a vineyard area of as much as 93 hectares. Chateau Rieussec was classified as a first growth in the 1855 Sauternes and Barsac classification and became part of Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite in 1984.In order to fully tap into the terroir potential of Chateau Rieussec, Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite constructed new cellars and winemaking facilities, adding modern equipment to the grape sorting room and pressing room, thereby better showcasing the potential of Chateau Rieussec.
"First, the intense aromas of lemon meringue pie, lime cordial, mango, and guava will astonish you, followed by a second wave of floral notes, orange blossom, and honeysuckle, and then the scents of crushed stones, caramel, and almond candy." The body is medium to full, with a very firm texture, rich sweetness, and a lively backbone to match, layered with citrus and salinity, finishing with a lasting mineral taste.
