The classified estate Château Quintus was acquired in 2011 by the Domaine Clarence Dillon group, which owns the renowned estates Haut Brion and La Mission, making it the fifth Bordeaux estate owned by the group.Chateau Quintus is also one of the oldest regions in Saint-Emilion. From 1868 to 1949, Chateau Quintus was consistently listed as a "first growth" in the Bordeaux wine trade catalog, but it was downgraded in the 2006 classification.The owner of Domaine Clarence Dillon, Prince Robert of Luxembourg, once stated: "We hope to restore the former glory of this great estate."
