From 1868 to 1949, Chateau Quintus was consistently listed as a "first growth" in the Bordeaux wine trade catalog, but it was downgraded in the 2006 classification.The owner of Domaine Clarence Dillon, Prince Robert of Luxembourg, once stated: "We hope to restore the former glory of this great estate."
