Château Grand-Puy Ducasse is a wine estate in Pauillac.Under the name Artigues Arnaud, it was classified as a Fifth Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification.The second wine, Prélude à Grand-Puy Ducasse, is made from younger vines.Its aging time is roughly the same as Grand Vin, but with only 10% to 15% new oak.The estate has 99 acres (40 hectares) of vines, divided into three different plots.These plots border the northern Mouton, Lafite, and Pontet-Canet, covering part of the hill known as Grand Puy.
Prelude a Grand-Puy Ducasse 2017 has a beautiful ruby red color with dark reflections. The nose has fruity and slightly spicy black fruit aromas. The mouth greedily recalls the intensity of the fruit revealed by the nose. Soft tannins mark an elegant and lively finish.
