Château Prieuré-Lichine is an estate in the Margaux region of Bordeaux, classified as a fourth growth in the official Bordeaux classification of 1855.It is considered one of the most consistent producers in Margaux, renowned for its elegance and softness, partly due to the relatively high proportion of Merlot in the blend.Its vineyard was the property of a monastery before the French Revolution.At that time, the red wine produced by Chateau Prieure-Lichine was called La Prieure, which means "monastery" in French.
2020 Prieure-Lichine The wine presents a medium to deep garnet purple color, exuding aromas of fresh red currants, blackcurrant gummies, boysenberries, and dried Provençal herbs, along with scents of tobacco leaves and pencil shavings.The body is medium, with a rich taste, featuring intense pure black and red fruit flavors, grainy tannins, and a lively backbone. The finish is long, with a refreshing herbal aroma.
