[Le Petit Haut Lafitte 2017]
Robert Parker rating: 90 /100
Le Petit Haut Lafitte is the second label of Smith Haut Lafitte. Smith Haut Lafitte was revitalized by French supermarket magnate Daniel Cathiard after he purchased the estate in 1990, restoring it to its top-tier status in Pessac Leognan.Due to the unique terroir conditions of this region being suitable for growing both red and white grapes, it has become one of the few Bordeaux areas where both red and white wines are excellent.Parker even awarded 100 points to both the red and white wines in 2009 and 2010, making it a force to be reckoned with!
"This is a mature, soft wine, full of warm fruit and gentle tannins."It has always been the impressive second wine of Smith Haut Lafitte, which is itself a rich wine.It has flavors of blackcurrant and black plum, with some tannin solidity. It is made from a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon. Please start drinking from 2018.
Grape variety:
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot
