[Le Petit Cheval 2014]
James Suckling rating: 92/100
Le Petit Cheval is the second wine of Cheval Blanc.Chateau Cheval Blanc is located in the Saint-Emilion region. It belongs to the Premier Grand Cru Classé A category and has been referred to as one of the "Eight Great Bordeaux Estates" in recent years. The soil contains more gravel, sand, and clay. The greatest advantage of Château Cheval Blanc is that both its young and old wines are outstanding. The young wine, when first produced, has an enticing sweet flavor but is slightly weaker in body; however, after 10 years of aging, the wine becomes rich, complex, and smooth.
"Le Petit Cheval 2014 is very aromatic and beautiful, with scents of currants and cherries, and a hint of floral notes." Medium-bodied, with very delicate tannins and pure polish and beauty. Lovely fruit.
Grape varieties:
80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon
