【Le Petit Mouton 2017】
Robert Parker Rating: 92/100
Le Petit Mouton (Second wine of First Growth Mouton Rothschild) is crafted from grapes grown in the exceptional terroir of the estate. Apart from using grapes from younger vines, the processes for harvesting, winemaking, and bottling are almost identical to those of the grand vin. In label design, the château has also thoughtfully selected the works of artist Jean Carlu: the bright colors of the grapes combine the vintage feel with a modern touch.
"Lots of sweet tobacco and wet earth with currants, too. Full body and round, polished tannins that are creamy and beautiful. A little reserved and shy now. A blend of 81% cabernet sauvignon, 17% merlot and 2% cabernet franc. Second wine of Château Mouton Rothschild." -James Suckling
Grape Varieties:
81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc
