Chateau Ormes de Pez was owned by the Alibert family in the 19th century, and they also owned a fifth-growth estate located in Haut Medoc—Chateau Belgrave.Chateau Ormes de Pez was classified as a Cru Bourgeois in 1932, and in 2003, it was further selected as a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, placing it among the top nine estates of the Cru Bourgeois classification. However, it later withdrew due to changes in the Cru Bourgeois system.
In 2020, Ormes de Pez exudes aromas of sweet cherries, berries, and spices. Complemented by creamy new oak barrels, it is a medium to full-bodied, ample, and fleshy wine with a delicate, seamless palate, rich fruitiness, and an outwardly charming profile.
