Bodega Catena Zapata, located in Argentina's Mendoza region, is the only South American winery featured in Robert Parker's "World's Greatest Wine Estates" (Wald's Greatest Wine Estates). Its former owner, Nicolás Catena Zapata, was named Decanter magazine's Man of the Year in 2009.

In 2019, Nicolás Catena Zapata fermented it in small oak barrels, concrete, and stainless steel tanks, followed by a brief post-fermentation maceration.Élevage was carried out in French oak barrels, both first and second use, for 18 months, including malolactic fermentation.

Grape varieties:

42% cabernet sauvignon, 30% malbec and 28% cabernet franc
