Due to the time-consuming nature of the distillation method, production was scarce, and for nearly a century after its establishment, only a very small proportion was used to make single malt whisky.Mortlach aged 16, through the double maturation in American and European oak barrels, creates a round and delicate exceptional flavor.

Nose: Ginger and orange peel, with hints of roasted chestnuts, apple, blackcurrant pie, and papaya.

Flavor: Mature oak from the start, complemented by plum, clove, macadamia, and a hint of roasted earthiness.
