Masseto is located in the Tuscany region of Italy and was originally part of Tenuta dell’Ornellaia.Since its inception in 1987, Masseto has always been established under Tenuta dell’Ornellaia. Later, due to the distinct style of Masseto wines compared to the winemaking philosophy of Ornellaia, it was separated from Ornellaia and an independently operated winery was established.

The 2011 Masseto, from Italy's most famous 7-hectare Merlot estate, is an ambitious wine that delights in the glass. This wine delivers on all its promises. The aromas of dark fruits, spices, chocolate, and Mediterranean herbs blend seamlessly. The bouquet presents a kaleidoscopic effect, with vibrant colors merging into one. Next, the palate is perfectly integrated. Finally, the wine's aging potential is evident from its balanced acidity and rich tannins.
