[Meursault Les Clous, Vincent Girardin 2014]
Vincent Girardin has always believed that to maintain good wine quality, every detail must be taken seriously; and with Eric Germain's addition, the direction of the winery's development has become increasingly clear, focusing on the fundamentals of wine, reducing unnecessary human intervention, and gradually moving towards a pure, additive-free style.Since 2007, the vineyard has fully adopted natural farming methods. In terms of winemaking, in addition to traditional manual harvesting, they have also started 100% destemming and use unfiltered bottling to reduce the use of new barrels.
Vincent Girardin winery is renowned for its high quality, with wines that are smooth, clean, and have a solid body. The white wines are particularly impressive, being balanced and rich in fruit flavors, with high complexity. They can be enjoyed right after opening, but if aged for four to five years, their transformation and depth become even more intricate.
Meursault Les Clous exudes beautiful aromas of Anjou pear, lemon oil, white flowers, and butter. The taste is moderate, rich, and tight, with the natural purity characteristic of hillside production, a strong and layered dry white, with notes of stone fruits, hazelnuts, and oak spices.Perfectly pairs with foie gras or a seafood platter!
