[Le Clementin de Pape Clement Rouge 2018]
Robert Parker rating: 92/100
The second wine Clémentin de Pape Clément from the renowned Grand Cru Classé de Graves - Château Pape Clément showcases all the typical characteristics of high-quality Graves red wines from the Pessac-Léognan region.
Clémentin de Pape Clément is born from the vineyards of Château Pape Clément, with the estate's vines distributed across the communes of Pessac, Gradignan, Martillac, and Léognan. The vineyard has been awarded the Terra Vitis label and HVE3 certification.
This wine presents a pomegranate red color, almost black, and exudes fresh fruit aromas from the glass cabinet: cherries, raspberries, and plums. Due to the aromas of cedar and graphite, the bouquet becomes more complex. The mouthfeel is fantastic; Frank has evolved from the attack into a lively and vibrant body. Smooth and well-defined tannin structure supports the focus on fresh and delicious aromas. The finish is very long, making this wine a delight for the palate. There is no doubt that with age, it will achieve even greater progress.
Grape varieties:
60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot
