[Chateau Latour Martillac 2013]
Chateau Latour Martillac is located in the Graves appellation of Bordeaux, France, and is one of the six Grand Cru Classé de Graves estates that produce both red and white wines. Its name comes from an ancient tower in the estate's courtyard. The vineyard is divided into two parts based on soil type. The highland vineyard has gravelly and poor soil with good drainage, while the vineyard near the Garonne River has clay and limestone soil, covered with gravel, ideal for grape growing.
The 2013 LaTour Martillac has crisp blackberry and wild hedgerow aromas, a hint of rusticity, and freshness. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and moderate acidity, a certain salinity, reminiscent of seaweed, with a focused finish. It is a respectable wine for the vintage that might benefit from further bottle aging.
Grape Varieties:
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, and 8% Petit Verdot
According to Hong Kong law, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business.
