[Chateau La Tour Carnet 2021]
Chateau La Tour Carnet was ranked as a fourth growth in the 1855 Médoc classification. After being acquired by Bernard Magrez in 2000, its quality significantly improved, with Parker calling it the most cost-effective among all classified estates.Using drones (one of the latest technologies acquired by Bernard Magrez) to analyze vineyard plots from the air has deepened the understanding of each plot. For example, the terroir of Lagrange is better suited for Merlot, while the slopes are more suitable for Cabernet.
The 2021 La Tour Carnet shows promise, exhibiting aromas of cherry and blackberry, mingled with fertile soil and toasty new oak. The body is medium to full-bodied, with a velvety texture, lively acidity, and a chalky quality.
Grape varieties:
54% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon
