[Chateau La Tour Carnet 2020]
Robert Parker rating: 91/100
Chateau La Tour Carnet was ranked as a fourth growth in the 1855 Médoc classification. After the estate was acquired by Bernard Magrez in 2000, its quality significantly improved, and Parker described it as the most cost-effective among all classified estates.Using drones (one of the latest technologies acquired by Bernard Magrez) to analyze vineyard plots from the air has deepened the understanding of each plot. For example, the terroir of La Bieyut is more suitable for Merlot, while the slopes are better for Cabernet.
"The 2020 La Tour Carnet exudes aromas of raspberry, cassis liqueur, cigar box, and loamy earth, presenting a medium to full-bodied, smooth, polished wine that is more harmonious and balanced than Magrez's Grands Chênes."
Grape variety:
60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon
Under the law of Hong Kong, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business.
