[Chateau La Tour Carnet 2011]
Robert Parker rating: 90/100
Chateau La Tour Carnet was ranked as a fourth-growth estate in the 1855 Médoc classification. After the estate was acquired by Bernard Magrez in 2000, its quality significantly improved, and Parker described it as the most cost-effective among all classified estates.Using drones (one of the latest technologies acquired by Bernard Magrez) to analyze vineyard plots from the air has deepened the understanding of each plot. For example, the terroir of La Bieyot is better suited for Merlot, while the slopes are more suitable for Cabernet.
"The 2011 La Tour Carnet presents a dense purple color, with aromas of graphite, blackcurrant, spice box, and charcoal. It has a medium body, with very good to excellent concentration, and sweet tannins that provide a long finish."The winery's efforts over the year were not in vain; it has aging potential of around fifteen years.
Grape varieties:
57% Merlot, 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot
Under the law of Hong Kong, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business.
