Chateau Leoville Las Cases is located on the border of Saint Julien and Pauillac, opposite the first growth Chateau Latour. The estate covers an area of 98 hectares, with soil consisting of deep sandy gravel and clay gravel as the subsoil, and a typical Saint Julien soil structure with a four-century gravel layer as the topsoil. The average age of the vines is 40 years, with a planting density of 8,600 plants per hectare.Among the many prestigious estates in Bordeaux, the quality of Château Léoville Las Cases has earned it the title of "super second growth." Robert Parker has long placed Château Léoville Las Cases among the first growths in his ratings.
"The classic style of Las Cases is somewhat masculine in terms of vintage, tannins, and aftertaste, and has lower concentration compared to 2009 or 2010. The 2008 vintage requires 7-8 years of cellaring."Dense purple, aromatic, with flavors of blackcurrant and some forest floor. This wine is impressive, medium to full-bodied, with rich layers, and it captivates the senses; this is a unique vintage from Leoville Las Cases."
