[Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1996]
Robert Parker rating: 98/100
Chateau Lafite Rothschild is a red wine from the Pauillac region of Bordeaux, France. It is one of the five first-growth estates from the 1855 classification and is owned by the renowned Rothschild family. Chateau Lafite's reputation is indeed well-known; whenever people mention top-tier red wine, many immediately think of Lafite. As for the quality of Lafite, regardless of the vintage, introducing Lafite is pointless; its illustrious reputation speaks volumes even in silence.Upon careful tasting, this wine has a beautiful, gentle, and generous soul, with an elegant, refined, and delicate wine style.
"Considering that it has now been 20 years, the color of the 1996 Lafite-Rothschild is very deep." The bouquet is classic Pauillac, with pencil shavings and sous-bois, infused with black fruits, masculine and a bit aloof, but focused and well-defined. The palate is very balanced with fresh blackberry and boysenberry fruit, spicier than I remember, the flavor builds, starting off seemingly understated but finishing with confidence."
Grape variety:
83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot y 8% Petit Verdot
Under the law of Hong Kong, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business.
