La Chapelle de La Mission Haut-Brion is the elite second wine of this historic estate. The 2012 vintage, which favored a softer, more approachable profile, produced a wonderfully charming expression of Pessac-Léognan. Now beautifully mature, it reveals an engaging bouquet of ripe cassis, violets, sweet cigar box, and the estate's signature earthy smoke. Medium to full-bodied and exceptionally smooth on the palate, the tannins have resolved into a velvety texture, supporting a core of sweet, accessible dark fruit and vibrant acidity.
