Château Haut-Bergey is a highly regarded estate in Pessac-Léognan known for its classic, terroir-driven style. The 2012 vintage, which favored Merlot, produced a wonderfully charming and approachable expression of the appellation. Now beautifully mature, it reveals an engaging bouquet of ripe cassis, violets, sweet cigar box, and the estate's signature earthy smoke. Medium to full-bodied and exceptionally smooth on the palate, the tannins have resolved into a velvety texture, supporting a core of sweet, accessible dark fruit and vibrant acidity.
